FY13 Fringe Rate
Please note the fringe rate for 2013 (30.0% for non-federal, 27.0% for federal) has been entered into the Budget Module. If you have already entered salaries, please reload salary details on the line item detail page.
Thanks!

Fringe Rate Issue
Some users have experienced a problem with the fringe rate not calculating correctly when salaries are loaded. Please check your calculated fringe amounts to be sure they are the correct percentage of payroll (29.5% for R&T, 30.5% for all other funds). The only work around to fix the problem at the moment is to reload the salary until the correct fringe amount appears. The IT department is currently working on this and we will advise as soon as the problem is fixed.

Scroll Bar Issue
A user experienced a problem with the Line Item Details page in a department with more than 30 lines of data. The left to right scroll would occasionally block data entry and the top to bottom scroll would misalign with the static columns. This resulted in the user entering data on incorrect lines without realizing it. The user was running Internet Explorer 7.0.5x; once he upgraded to Internet Explorer 8.x the issues resolved itself.

The 2012 Budget Module is now available
The 2012 Budget module is now available. The module can be accessed using the following link: https://budget.case.edu/psp/epmprd/?cmd=login
Instructions for accessing and entering the budget information can be found on the Budget Office website (http://www.case.edu/provost/budget/). The website also contains a file detailing the steps to run the budget reports in Business Objects. Please provide these instruction guides to the budget system users in your school and/or management center.
The budget system no longer uses the “check in/check out” feature. The system now “locks” a budget when it is being edited. Therefore, please ensure that users are “unlocking” their budgets when they are not using them. This will aid in the performance of the system.
Please contact Jim Gross (368-6633) or Ryan Babb (368-5734) in the Budget Office if you have any questions or if you would like to arrange for a training session at your office for the preparers in your management center. Questions can also be e-mailed to budget-questions@case.edu or posted on this site.
