Child Policy Class
Hi Everyone,
I took this class a few semesters ago when it went to Columbus, not DC. It was amazing! The DC trip should be even better, with all of the changes coming up.
Child Policy Class with Spring Break Learning Component in Washington DC- (CHST 302 or ANTH 307)
· Learn about major Federal legislation impacting children, youth and families
· Meet with legislators and their staff, advocacy groups, think tanks, researchers, etc.
· See first hand how policy is made – (hear congressional testimony and legislative sessions as policy is being debated and made).
· Fully paid for trip to Washington DC over spring break
* Class is currently scheduled for 4 to 6:30 on Mondays - but we will not meet weekly because the bulk of class time will be spent in DC. Please let us know if the class time presents a conflict. We may be able to adjust the schedule to meet student needs.
* Students who participated in our experiential learning class in 2007 in Columbus OH, may be able to participate this year as well.
Come talk to us to learn more or to let us know of your interest and we will issue you a permit to register.
* We are finalizing plans for our trip to Washington DC so please contact us now if you are interested or would like more information about either of these opportunities.
