Mandel School hosts performance-lecture for award-winning 'night, Mother at Beck Center for the Arts on April 4
The Mandel School hosts its Second Annual Evening at the Theater on Friday, April 4, at Lakewood's Beck Center for the Arts for a performance of multi Tony award-winner, 'night Mother.
'night, Mother is the emotional exploration of a mother's and daughter's views of whether life is worth living. It won four Tony Awards on Broadway and the 1983 Pulitzer Prize for drama. A proposed Broadway revival is rumored to star Oprah Winfrey. -more-
Special Event & Lecture: Transformation and Purpose from Grief and Loss is March 19
Loss of a loved one can be overwhelming, even paralyzing. Join us for a panel discussion with individuals who adjusted and transformed their own grief and loss.
The panel will be facilitated by Beth Shapiro, Ph.D, MSSA, LISW-S, Mandel School adjunct instructor.
The lecture is a collaboration with Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA), Hospice of the Western Reserve and Lifebanc to coincide with the exhibit DIRGE. -more-

CEU Seminars with Adolescent Focus Offered March 14-15
The Mandel School announces a "don't miss," two-day series of adolescent-focused CEU seminars Friday, March 14 and Saturday, March 15. These four classes - all offered for the first time - are geared for licensed professionals as well as public agency and nonprofit organization professionals who work with adolescents. DSM-5 Offered in March in Westlake
The new Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5) was released last May and includes a number of significant changes since it was last revised in 1994.
The Mandel School will continue offer DSM-5 recognizing that many licensed professionals wish to become familiar with the changes. It will be offered on Thursday, Mar. 20, in Westlake. read more...

Winter-Spring CEU Classes Announced
Nearly 50 classes - many offered for the first time - will provide fresh learning for licensed human services professionals. DSM-5,ethics and supervision remain mainstays of these offerings now available at the Mandel School as well as the west-side in Westlake.
Classes are offered on Fridays and Saturdays to accommodate busy work schedules.
Individuals are urged to register early to take advantage of the lowest pricing opportunities.
