Link to Harvard's IAT test
I actually completed a few of these tests. I have some other ideas for the class presentation, but I think you guys should try an online quiz if you haven't already. Apparently i hate white people.

"You have completed the GAY PEOPLE-STRAIGHT PEOPLE IAT.
The line immediately below summarizes the results of your task performance.
Your data suggest a strong automatic preference for Straight People compared to Gay People."
huh... I'm a bit disappointed in myself that the preference was so strong. I thought it was interesting that the test asked for the "region" where you have spent the most time in your life. Mine was nowhere, TN - wonder if that had something to do with my results?

Before renaming TN the Hater state, i checked around. Seems like there are some glitches in the test. This test may be useful in judging the overall attitude in a culture, but individuals seem easily tripped up with the hard dynamics of the test. I've had friends try all the tests and the results seem not to comply with how we felt but more how well we could press e and i.

That seems like a fair point. Not to be completely dismissive of the concept of a subconscious mind, but given the choice between what I know about myself and what a 5 minute test tells me about myself, I'd go with my own thoughts every time.
Did the concept of the subconscious mind begin with Freud? If I remember correctly, he never actually cured anyone - he just diagnosed people with deep-rooted subconscious ills.
