Summer's here - you know what that means. Summer reading time for the undergraduate admission staff!
Last year, we read Millennials Go to College: Strategies for a New Generation on Campus by William Strauss and Neil Howe. At the end of the summer, the admission counselors engaged in a lively discussion about what they learned from the book. All of us gained some insight into the "Millennial Generation" and their values.
For me, it was interesting to pinpoint exactly how different this generation is from mine. College-bound students these days seem much more nurtured and connected than those from my day. It's not like I'm that old either. Or am I? *sigh*
