A Truly Dynamic Learning Environment
A reality of the admission counselor’s life is the road trip. Yesterday I awoke in Cleveland, headed to the coffee shop to read the paper, headed to vote and then back to my home to get a ride to pick up a rental car—finally it was almost 8 am. By 9 I was headed east for a week of meeting with prospective students and visiting high schools in Western New York.
In each conversation the topic turns life at Case—in and out of the classroom. For every student that has yet to visit campus there is another that wants to talk about their prior visit to Case and University Circle—our neighborhood within Cleveland.
In addition to Case, the neighborhood is the host to Cleveland’s cultural, medical and non-profit sectors. These institutions are a part of Case’s extended learning environment—classes taught in the Museum of Natural History, joint programs with the Cleveland institutes of music and art and numerous service opportunities for our students.
In today’s New York Times there is an article which, if you have yet to visit, captures much of what makes University Circle such powerful and dynamic area—with still more to come. Still, you need to visit in person.
Keep an eye on our website for upcoming chances to visit Case and University Circle.
