Early Action deadline extended to November 15

Due to the effects of the fires in California on the homes and schools of our constituents in that state, the Office of Undergraduate Admission has extended the Early Action deadline for all applicants to November 15. Early Action is an application plan that students can use to jumpstart the college application process. Unlike the Early Decision option some other schools offer, Early Action is non-binding.

Deadline to Apply Early Action: November 15
Notification of Acceptance to Case: By January 1

Early Action FAQs

What about my October or November test scores? Can I still apply Early Action?
You can still apply Early Action. The testing agencies send us students’ scores as quickly as possible. We start evaluating Early Action applications in mid-November. We will evaluate your application with the scores we have in hand on the day of review. If you feel it’s critical that we make a review of your application that includes your October or November test scores, you might want to consider applying Regular Decision.

Can I apply for Early Action and the Pre-Professional Scholars Program?
No. You have to choose one of these plans. PPSP has a stringent set of deadlines to allow for committee review and other components of this competitive program.

What are the deadlines for other application plans?
Pre-Professional Scholars Program (PPSP): December 1
Regular Decision: January 15
