Well friends, Jackie's at it again! It seems the hoopla this time is about Bethesda's new game, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. Apparently, some...*gasp* modders discovered a topless female skin in the game. This caused the ESRB to promptly re-rate the game to Mature, ensuring that anyone under 18 is now safe from the boobies that can be unlocked with a third party mod. I'm glad the ESRB is here to protect my brother, among other Americans under 17, from partial frontal nudity. Of course, "Expert Guest" Jack Thompson is ready to protect us fromt his threat, announcing via press release that he is welcoming the chance to come onto talk shows to explain this vile act. For laughs, you can read the press release below:

A look at the War on Terror through Nietzsche's Eyes

Nietzsche’s writings allow us to analyze the situation and allow us to realize that the War on Terror is morally misguided. It is up to America to now wake up and return to a time of action; a time where our fears do not drive the ascetic ideal. We must not sacrifice or seek to control ourselves to eliminate terrorism; we must venture into the global community in order to enrich our society and the societies of other nations. We have a responsibility to strengthen humanity, and, whether realized or not, the terrorists seek to remove this ability in order to make the rest of the world confine to their ideal situation.

There will always be events and happenings that will inevitably be burned into our minds as memories of pain. 9/11 is no exception to that statement, and those of us that experienced it will never forget the feelings that arose after the terrorist attacks. Now we are engaged in a global effort to bring those responsible to justice. It seems we are playing our role as the noble, guardians of peace by bringing these evil people to justice. But can we be sure that our methods are morally correct? Only through comparisons with the ideas of what it means to be moral can we justify our activities. Is the Global War on Terrorism moral? According to the writings of Friedrich Nietzsche, the American War on Terrorism is morally amiss.

I must admit, I have not felt my blood boil more over an issue as of late than it is now because of the above statement. I am versed in Philosophy of Law; I understand that by not following laws we defeat the very purpose for which laws are created. I understand that piracy is a crime, regardless of my personal feelings or the reality of the situation. I also understand the RIAA's...interest in "recouping profits" from pirates. I can understand their situation, both realistically (motivation by greed) and idealistically (motivated by being robbed).

I do not, however, understand how degrading American society by depriving students of Higher Education can even DARE be mentioned as payment for simple copyright infringement.

I thought it'd be a good time to anounce a few changes that will be happening arround Alt-F4. Some exciting things will be happening next semester, and in order to get ready, I'm going to be making some small changes to the content here.

First, I'm APing for WRUW this sememster. Provided I actually complete the training and get a show for next semester(possibly even in the summer), Alt-F4 will be expanding on to the radio. Alt-F4(name pending) will be a freeform Video Game music show. Why freeform? So I can play things that aren't video game music. In order to fulfil the video-game-music-void in Cleveland, I've contacted Overclocked Remix and with any luck, will be playing much of my music from their wonderful remix selections. In addition to this, Alt-F4 will be providing as much commercial-free video game content. Hopefuly, I'll be able to bring you more than video game music, but we'll see about that.

To get ready, I'm going to be implementing an OCRemix RSS feed. I also found this video of a video game concert. I hope you enjoy!
