In light of recent events at the University, we the undersigned
elected members of the College of Arts and Sciences Executive
Committee wish to reaffirm our dedication to the core missions of the
University: the education of future generations and the creation of
new knowledge. We are deeply committed to creating a stronger
institution for students, staff, alumni, and faculty. We pledge to
work with our University administration to ensure that Case Western
Reserve University succeeds in fully realizing its great potential.

This blog has been created to provide a forum for open letters to the Case community from the voting members of the faculty of the College of Arts & Sciences. All voting members of the faculty as of March 2006 should be able to post; if you do not have access and feel you've been omitted erroneously, or for questions about the administration of this site, please contact Steve Cook. Technical and how-to questions about Movable Type, the software package used to run blog.case.edu, are largely answered in the Movable Type manual.
