Alumni Uravitch named member of World Commission on Protected Areas
Joseph Uravitch (Adelbert '70), the Director of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's Marine Protected Areas Center, was recently invited to become a member of the World Conservation Union's (IUCN) World Commission on Protected Areas (WCPA). The WCPA's membership is comprised of approximately 1000 individuals from over 140 countries dedicated to promoting the establishment and effective management of a worldwide representative network of terrestrial and marine protected areas.
