New issues in Blackboard: Firefox 3 and Assignments

We have recently discovered a problem that affects Firefox 3 users who attempt to submit files to Assignments in Blackboard. When attempting to select the file to save or submit, users will see an error that says to "please enter a valid file", regardless of the file type being submitted.

This is a problem specific to Firefox 3, so affected users should try either Internet Explorer or Safari to turn in the assignment. All other Blackboard functions work in Firefox 3 (except for Collaboration, which does not work in any browser at this time), so this suggested work-around only applies to Assignments.

We are hoping to find a solution to the problem quickly, and will make an announcement within Blackboard and on this blog when we do.
