What tips would I suggest for someone to perform an effective job interview?

There are a number of suggestions I would make to somone who was about to interview for a job...

First of all, do your homework on the company your are applying to. Doing this will show that you are a hard-working and well prepared person. Secondly, be enthusiastic! Employers are constantly searching for enthusiastic employees, since most of their current ones are not. Third, be on time. Nothing can disqualify your for a job faster than being late for the interview. If you were late on your "test drive" with the company, there is no indication that things would be different if you were hired. Lastly, wear a suit. Even if the interviewer tells you that business casual is fine, always wear a suit anyways. If you are overdressed, you can always take off your sports jacket. Wearing a suit can make almost anyone look respectable. Never forget this very important point!
