What do managers need to know about employee selection?

There are a few things managers need to know about employee selection...

First, slecting the first person to begin with can save you, as the manager, a lot of trouble. It will enable you to avoid spending the money to train someone to replace the person you hired that you shouldn't have. Also, productivity as whole should improve, since the longer the "right" people are at a job, the easier it will be for them. This can also cut down on the unemployment claims the company has to pay as well. In the end, one of the most important functions the manager can provide for the company is selecting the right people to hire. Good employees are the lifeblood of a successful company. Without them, things would literally fall apart.
