Iran holds Anti-Holocaust Convention
So the Iraq Study Group wants us to negotiate with Iran. And then they go have a conference like this. When is anyone going to see that Iran is not going to be reasoned with on anything? Quite clearly, their intentions are to wipe Israel off the map, a direct quote from the "President" of that country. They deny the Holocaust ever happened, and they invite about 70 speaker to their convention. Why don't they invite the thousands of soldiers that were in Europe during WWII and actually went to these "non-existent" camps? Oh, because then they wouldn't get to blow up Israel.
War is clearly not the answer. But something has to be done....Good luck Mr. Bush & Co. coming up with the answer to this question.
As for the ISG report....I'm glad they didn't call for an immediate withdrawal, because that would only exacerbate the problem. On the other hand, Iraq's PM has a point when he says we can't treat them like a colony. We have to let them make their own decisions. Simply telling the Iraqis what is going to happen is not the way to go. We need to work with them to create a withdrawal plan. They need to get on the ball as well. I've seen articles that they're thinking about increasing the number of troops, which seems like a good thing to do. But the uproar...wow. Once again, good luck Mr. Bush and Co. trying to solve this one too. It sure would be a lot easier if everyone could realize that things happened that need to be looked at, but this is not the time. Focus, get together and make a solution that most people like. I wonder how many people actually favor an immediate withdrawal....
Anyways, back to studying. So distracted.
