Endurance 50 - Cleveland Photos

34 down, 16 to go!

Today I was one of two spectators on Chester (at least that I saw) for the Endurance 50 marathon #34. I'm posting my photos which were taken between mile 14-16 (I met the pack at two places on Chester).

The first set of pictures is from near the sculpture "Politican: A Toy" at Chester and E 55th.

The second set of pictures are from near Epworth-Euclid United Methodist Church at E 107th, which is just before mile marker 16.

I've posted low resolution images here, but if you were a runner and want any of the photos, let me know and I would be happy to email the full resolution version. There are no great pictures of Dean, but there are some good ones of the rest of the pack. Congratulations to everyone who ran in the rain and good luck to Dean on the rest of his marathons.

You can read Dean's blog for the Cleveland race and others here.

50 Marathons in 50 Days

"Ultrarunner" Dean Karnazes will be running his 34th marathon of 50 in Cleveland tomorrow. Dean is running 50 marathons in 50 states in 50 consecutive days. Tomorrow's race starts at 8:00 AM at St. Clair/E 113. As far as I can tell, he will be following the standard Cleveland Marathon route. His website predicts that he will be running at a pace of 10:00 to 11:40 minute miles. By my math, Dean will presumably run past University Circle (between mile marker 15 and 16) sometime between 10:30am to 11:06am.

Jack's Mannequin

Whether or not you've heard him previously as part of the band Something Corporate, Andrew McMahon deserves a listen as Jack's Mannequin. Check out the the album titled Everything in Transit. My current favorite songs are "Dark Blue" and "Into the Airwaves." The "Dark Blue" video below is courtesy of The Messengers.
