I intend to finish this as a wall hanging...as soon as I get around to it. In the works is also a set of ornaments...of which I've starting the snow man.

So, as an update to the last blog...I never did find a pattern for gingerbread men ornaments, but I did finish the referenced snow man ornament (not the one shown above). And I still haven't finished the Hawaiian print purse. Maybe this week when I'm not teaching or trying to graduate.

As for a new hobby (or at least one I'm starting to take more seriously), I'm currently trying out some photography. I ran around Cleveland yesterday taking fun pictures. Let me tell you...it was COLD. Something like 21 degrees without the wind chill. I would really like to try some night shots...but, I don't think my camera is good enough. Here's a sample of yesterday's successes (I had tons of failures that I won't show).

I made the above Advent calendar for my sister's family. This marks the first cross stitch project that I've finished with my sewing machine.

Since this is my first blog, I'll list a few of my other projects. I'm sewing a purse out of a Hawaiian-like twill print on my sewing machine and I'm finishing up a snowman Christmas ornament for this year. I want to make a series of gingerbread men ornaments too. I don't yet have a pattern for those yet. Well, that's it for now. Nothing else to report.
