Case Western Reserve University's Undergraduate Student Government (USG) is offering every member of the campus community an opportunity to apply for up to $15,000 to fund any project that will "profoundly impact" student life.
All faculty and staff as well as students -- individuals, organizations, departments or divisions -- can submit applications for the new USG Student Life Improvement Grant. Projects need to clearly influence student life on campus; how is completely open to interpretation.
Charged with representing undergraduates and contributing to university initiatives overall as well as enhancing student life, USG regularly seeks ideas and input regarding ways it can make Case Western Reserve a better place for undergrads. Now the group is looking to use its student organization allocation rollover to empower members of the campus community to have a direct effect.
Project proposals submitted for the Student Life Improvement Grant must:
Grant applicants may request a maximum of $15,000. Forms are available online .
In addition to sending an electronic copy of the application to firstname.lastname@example.org, a print copy also must be submitted to the USG office in Thwing Center by September 8.
USG's Student Life Improvement Grant Committee will evaluate each submission and will notify winners around the end of September. Grant awardees will be required to provide progress reports to USG every two weeks.
