Case in Point to Perform National Anthem at Cavs Game Nov. 5

Case in Point is scheduled to perform the National Anthem at the Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Chicago Bulls basketball game at 8 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 5, at Quicken Loans Arena.

"We ended up being selected because I sent a demo of us singing to the Cavs and they liked us. They contacted me after going to our Web site," says Roshni Rao, the group's president.

The group has been in rehearsals twice a week. "As we get closer to the date, we are more ingrained in the music and we focus on the sound quality instead of basic notes and lyrics, which we mastered by repetition and working with the music in early September. We have a very new sound this year after so many members graduated last year, " Rao says.

The group sings and performs music representing various genres, including jazz, hip hop, R&B, pop, country, rock, musical theater and alternative rock. They arrange their own music based on the contemporary and classic artists they enjoy listening to.

"We are building a new and great sound for the group and we cannot wait to debut it at the Cavs game. We're really excited to show the Cleveland community what a fun and talented a capella community exists at Case Western Reserve with all of the groups that perform on this campus!"

For those unable to make it to the game, it will be broadcast on the TNT network.
