TRUSTEES ANNOUNCE BARBARA SNYDER AS UNIVERSITY PRESIDENT

Current Ohio State Provost to Arrive July 1

The Case Western Reserve University Board of Trustees has in a unanimous vote elected Barbara R. Snyder as the next president and first woman to hold the office of president at Case Western Reserve University. Snyder, who currently serves as executive vice president and provost at The Ohio State University, will begin her tenure here on July 1, 2007. The entire campus community is invited to welcome Ms. Snyder at an informal gathering today at 11:45 in the Thwing Ballroom. The president-elect began her career in higher education at Case Western Reserve University School of Law where she served as an assistant and associate professor.
