Three Earn President's Award for Distinguished Service; Dozens Honored for Years of Service
Years of service and employee excellence took center stage during the recent annual Staff Service Awards Brunch.
Case Western Reserve University employees with 10 and 25 years of service were acknowledged during the luncheon, which was held on June 15 at Thwing Center.
In addition, three employees—Lynmarie Hamel, Kathryn Howard and Suzette Williamson—received the 2007 President's Award for Distinguished Service. The award includes a cash prize, and the winners' names will be engraved on a university plaque.
Interim President Gregory L. Eastwood, M.D., acknowledged the years of service from all of the awardees, and also highlighted the accomplishments of the distinguished service recipients. "I'm very proud of Lynmarie, Suzette and Kathryn for maintaining a standard of excellence that is indicative of all employees at Case Western Reserve University. It is university employees like these three women who have made my short time as interim president more productive and enjoyable." Read the full story.
