Case commuters love open bridge

The Adelbert Road bridge near Case Western Reserve University might as well have been wrapped in shiny paper, tied with a bow and stamped "Do Not Open Until Christmas." For thousands of commuters, University Hospitals employees and Case students and faculty who have battled detour congestion twice a day for nearly two years, the bridge's reopening Thursday was like an early Christmas gift from the city of Cleveland.
