Save the Date! Sing for Hope concert to benefit the Alzheimer's Association
Four of opera's brightest young stars are coming to Cleveland to join Case Med's own Paul Kwak (Wearn '10) for an evening of song to benefit the Alzheimer's Association. The concert will be Saturday, September 15 at 8 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Greater Cleveland (3630 Fairmount Blvd); suggested donation is $10. Sopranos Erin Morley and Katherine Whyte, tenor Benjamin Sosland, and baritone Matthew Worth will join Paul at the piano in American and German art song, and great opera arias. Don't miss this opportunity to hear some of today's greatest voices in a concert to benefit a wonderful cause. For more information, e-mail Paul at pek9@case.edu

EC in the ER
Come enjoy wine, cheese and other goodies at the Medical Students for Choice "EC in the ER" event, where you can learn about, discuss, and experience how easy or difficult it is to obtain emergency contraception in various situations and settings. This event will be lead by Planned Parenthood and will occur on Wednesday, September 19 from 7-9pm at The Fairmount Wine and Martini Bar. Delicious appetizers will be served! Please RSVP to casechoice@gmail.com if you would like to attend.

Free Food & Lunches!
Sign up for Alumni Weekend and get FREE FOOD & LUNCHES! Alumni weekend is coming up October 4-6 (Thurs-Sat). While this weekend is a chance for old classmates to catch up, it is also an opportunity for us to show our alumni how great we are, and for that reason we will need LOTS of volunteers from ALL CLASSES. This weekend is a great chance to meet alumni and hook yourself up with a research position, shadowing opportunity or maybe even a residency contact. If that’s not enough incentive there will also be tons of really good free food. Sign up sheets and a schedule of events will be posted soon. If you have any questions contact Asvin Ganapathi at axg126@case.edu.

Joke of the Week :-D
Top 10 things you don't want to hear in surgery:

1 Don't worry. I think it is sharp enough.

2 Nurse, did this patient sign the organs donation card?

3 Damn! Page 84 of the manual is missing!

4 Everybody stand back! I lost a contact lens!

5 Hand me that...uh...that uh.....thingie

6 Better save that. We'll need it for the autopsy.

7 "Accept this sacrifice, O Great Lord of Darkness"

8 Whoa, wait a minute, if this is his spleen, then what's that?

9 "Ya know, there's big money in kidneys. Hell, he's got two of'em

10 What do you mean "You want a divorce?"

This joke was obtained from: http://www.comedy-zone.net/jokes/laugh/doctor/doctor10.htm. If you can do better, please send me your best joke at apj10@case.edu!
