It Was a Fine Day...

Some friends of mine got married in Seattle in August. Unfortunately, I'm poor and couldn't join in their festivities.
They sent some photos out over the Internet today, and I am relieved to find that my absence did not hang over their heads that day. They're both smiling. They had a good time. Also, they had their one-month anniversary last week!
Congrats, Becky and James! You guys looked great.
Bride and Groom Get in the Groove
So, it doesn't resemble any wedding that I'll ever have, but you've got to admire the playfulness and creativity of the couple in the video below.
My guess how this unconventional processional came into being: one of them said, "Hey, let's do that song 'Forever'," and the other said, "That's a dance song," and the first one said, "Then let's DANCE!"
Hats off to the bridesmaids and groomsmen who were game.
Great News from Friends
It must be engagement season! We've had lots of good news from friends this week, and congratulations are in order.
On Sunday, we learned via text message that Jeremy's best friend Matt will marry his longtime girlfriend. Congrats, Matt & Carlyn!
Today, I heard from Becky (in an e-mail coyly titled, "Trip to Seattle?") that she and longtime boyfriend are also engaged. Congrats, Becky & James! (See their wedding site here. I highly recommend a trip through the hall of bears.)
Try not to plan your weddings for the same day, guys. It'll be like we as a culture learned nothing from Bride Wars.
Also, this news has been out there for a few weeks now, but since we're on the subject of expanding families, our friends Amanda and TJ are expecting their third child in the fall. Congrats, Stewart family!
