The start of something awesome...maybe, Thu Jun 2, 2005
I was at Cornell 2 summers ago in 2003. I had such a great time and made great friends. I don't remember 10% of what I did.
Like most people, I have a problem recalling events from my life, except for the really significant ones. I can't recall first learning to poop in a toilet though. Oh well, we can't have everything. So instead of letting all the great times I have on earth dissolve into a warm, fuzzy memory of lukewarm happiness, I've decided to record them for posterity. The Mormon religion requires members to keep a journal, so it must be a good idea, right?
The only parts of my life worth telling happens when the plane I'm on lands someplace I've never been before. And so for the benefit of those who might try to follow in my footsteps, this public record contains the details of my hopefully exciting journeys across the world. I say maybe because they might not be exciting and/or there may not be that many journeys.
Boston, however, is a sure thing. I'm leaving on Saturday (June 4) for the airport in Kansas City and my flight to Boston is the next morning. Note to self: never move to a town that's 4 hours from a major airport. It's hard on your spine...
It's not vacation, but I'm doing as much exploring and sight-seeing as possible while I'm there. I need to pick up a travel guide or two before I leave. A few trips to New York City are also likely.
And starting in January, I should be on my way to New Zealand for a few months, and then the real fun starts.
