NAACP Freedom Fund Gala

Case Western Reserve University supports the Cleveland Branch NAACP's Freedom Fund Dinner each year. The signature gala raises funds for NAACP's local programs to improve quality of life in Greater Cleveland, including initiatives focusing on economic development and youth leadership. The evening recognizing a local organization who demonstrates a commitment to civil rights with the Freedome Award, the highest honor presented by a NAACP Branch. There is also a presentation of the Carl B. Stokes Scholarship Awards to some of the Cleveland area's best high school seniors by the retired Congressman Louis Stokes. The NAACP is the nation's oldest and largest civil rights organization. Its mission is to ensure political, educational, social and economic equality for all people.
