Obama destroys retirement plans everywhere!

Ok... how long does the market have to drop before it becomes Obama's market. He was quoted saying that he doesn't pay attention to the stock market because it's like a tracking poll. However, if you apply those rules to the market... the trend is downward and that says wall street does not like his economic plan. Now it is starting to spread to main street. People all over the country have their entire life savings wrapped up in the stock market. As we keep seeing our 401k accounts dropping... everyone's confidence in Obama does too. He says he's not going to use the stock market as a barometer? Well he should. Blaming Bush will only last so long. As far as I'm concerned, this is now Obama's economy. He is destroying it with his radical economics. You can only tank the stock market so long before the people notice. No matter how good of a speaker someone is... money talks.

Obama reduces ability to donate to charity

This is one thing that is not getting nearly enough attention. Barack Obama has proposed to reduce the amount people making over $250,000 can donate to charity as a tax deduction. This is a terrible thing for this country. Now Obama is saying that he should get to decide where people's money goes rather than the people who have it. He points out that this is for only people making >$250k... but think about it... who donates the most money? RICH PEOPLE. This is just another fine example that Obama has absolutely no idea what he is doing.

After Passage of Obama’s Housing Bailout… STOP PAYING YOUR MORTGAGE!

I came from a lower-middle class blue collar family. My mother and father work their butt off to keep our family afloat. Sure, they have a mortgage… but they have made sacrifices to make sure they pay their mortgage payments. Sure… they are feeling the pain of recession. But… they are still fiscally responsible. Obama is telling everyone that someone out there who doesn’t work… but bought a house… should get bailed out? I don’t think so.

So basically… this is what Obama is saying. If this bill passes… all 50 million people in this country should stop paying their mortgage. Shouldn’t we be encouraging responsible behavior? Obama’s plan is a disgrace to this country. Obama’s plan is an absolute spit in the face of the Joe the Plumbers out there. Obama’s plan says that if you don’t work hard to get ahead… you will get rewarded. If you do work hard… you’ll give the government all your money so Obama can give it to those who chose to sit on their butt watching TV and eating potato chips all day long.

This may be a surprise for the Obama worshipers out there… but Obama has abandoned the middle class. He has decided that he would rather support the lower class. "Judges will reduce home mortgages."- Barack "The Constitution Assassin" Obama

Obama apparently thinks the judicial system can adjust loans! Is this guy for real? What gives the judges the power to run companies? If judges can just go ahead and reduce mortgages... this would set a ridiculous precedent.

Here is the constitution:

The judicial Power of the United States, shall be vested in one supreme Court, and in such inferior Courts as the Congress may from time to time ordain and establish. The Judges, both of the supreme and inferior Courts, shall hold their Offices during good Behaviour, and shall, at stated Times, receive for their Services, a Compensation, which shall not be diminished during their Continuance in Office.

Section 2

Clause 1:

The judicial Power shall extend to all Cases, in Law and Equity, arising under this Constitution, the Laws of the United States, and Treaties made, or which shall be made, under their Authority;--to all Cases affecting Ambassadors, other public Ministers and Consuls;--to all Cases of admiralty and maritime Jurisdiction;--to Controversies to which the United States shall be a Party;--to Controversies between two or more States;--between a State and Citizens of another State;11--between Citizens of different States,--between Citizens of the same State claiming Lands under Grants of different States, and between a State, or the Citizens thereof, and foreign States, Citizens or Subjects.11

Clause 2:

In all Cases affecting Ambassadors, other public Ministers and Consuls, and those in which a State shall be Party, the supreme Court shall have original Jurisdiction. In all the other Cases before mentioned, the supreme Court shall have appellate Jurisdiction, both as to Law and Fact, with such Exceptions, and under such Regulations as the Congress shall make.

Clause 3:

The Trial of all Crimes, except in Cases of Impeachment, shall be by Jury; and such Trial shall be held in the State where the said Crimes shall have been committed; but when not committed within any State, the Trial shall be at such Place or Places as the Congress may by Law have directed.

Section 3

Clause 1:

Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort. No Person shall be convicted of Treason unless on the Testimony of two Witnesses to the same overt Act, or on Confession in open Court. Clause 2: The Congress shall have Power to declare the Punishment of Treason, but no Attainder of Treason shall work Corruption of Blood, or Forfeiture except during the Life of the Person attainted

Obama’s Housing Stimulus Delays Inevitable

Barack Obama’s Housing Stimulus is great in the short term. However, what is the long term impact of the housing stimulus? His housing stimulus will stimulate the housing sector. That is certain. Anyone who is thinking about buying their first home will do so between now and November 30th of this year. Who would want to pass up a “free” $8000 credit to buy a home along with low interest rates?

The long term of this will be as follows. The problem with our housing market was that it was overinflated. The prices have been coming down to earth the last several months. The market is searching for an equilibrium point on housing prices. Messing with that process will cause a lot of problems. This plan will have several negative effects from various sources.

Increase in demand in the short term:
1) It doesn’t take a genius to see that if you increase demand, the prices go up. You will see the home prices become overinflated once again.

Decrease in demand at the end of the year:
1) All this is doing is moving the housing crash to next year. Once the housing incentive is gone, the demand will drop like a rock. Just as they did this year, the housing prices will come back down to earth. Rinse, repeat anyone?

Obama claimed to understand the concept that a short term reduction in costs is a bad thing when he stood up against Hillary’s gas tax vacation. This proved to be a false understanding, since he is proposing a similar temporary cost reduction in a different market. If he wants to move part of the recession to 2010… that only means it will help him lose seats in Congress.

More like "BUSH!" and "Deja vu all over again!"

George Bush helped to send us into a deeper recession by teaming up with his liberal buddies in congress and passing "stimulus packages" and "bailouts." He also allowed the mandates on banks from previous presidents to force banks to give out loans to people that shouldn't get them under the veil of "discrimination." They have clearly made things worse. C'mon Obama... I thought you were going to get away from the fail policies of the Bush administration. I see you passing more stimulus and more bailouts. I vote that Obama reads his history books. He is repeating the mistakes of George Bush. He is also repeating the mistakes of Japan in their lost decade.

Stock market votes no on the stimulus and bailout

Why is the media not talking about the stock market's response to the Obama economic plan? The stock market was at 9600 when Obama was elected... it has been going down more and more every time Obama has taken a step towards implementing his economic policies. The market is at 7400 today. That is a drop of 2200 points. That is a drop of around 23% since he was elected. I think the message from wall street is clear. Obama's economic strategy is the wrong one.

Democrats want to suspend freedom of speech!

The “Fairness Doctrine” is being pushed around the country by Democratic Party operatives. What exactly is the fairness doctrine? It sounds pretty good right? We’re just going to institute some fairness into something. It is anything but that. The “Fairness Doctrine” calls for a regulation on the radio stations that would regulate what opinions can be discussed on the radio. They would require a balance of liberal and conservative talk shows. Despite digesting that much of the bill, many still support it. They are dead wrong. Let me remind you of the first amendment:

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

How would the “Fairness Doctrine” not violate that part of the constitution? You cannot restrict free speech in this country. It is guaranteed by our constitution. If Barack Obama tries to push this as his operatives are implying that he will… there will be an outrage. If it passes… radio stations will go bankrupt. They have tried introducing liberal talk radio shows… but they have all failed. They do not make as much advertising revenue as conservative shows. Radio stations are already going bankrupt around the country. Clear channel has laid off thousands of employees. Why would in institute a constitution violating law that would make it worse for them?

Barack Obama and his socialist comrades in congress are endangering everything that this country was founded on. They are bringing about fear. They already used that fear to pass an 800 billion dollar “Stimulus Package” that really is just a power grab designed to give money to all of the liberal special interest groups. They are also taking steps to make the people dependent on them by expanding government welfare. Obama and his socialist comrades are expanding the government workforce to try and secure their majority. Now that they have flooded their supporters with tons of money... they are trying to suppress all critics by getting rid of freedom of speech even though it is guaranteed in our constitution. This sounds a lot more like the USSR than the United States of America. If we continue down this path, we will no longer be the USA… we will be the USSA.

Update:
Obama felt the political pressure and backed off this issue for now. We must watch for this issue to resurface.

House chair admits no one had time to read the stimulus

Amanda Carpenter of townhall found this crazy video. The democrats are actually admitting that no one could have read this bill. They released it around midnight... and voting on it less than 24 hours later.

I can get frustrated when things don't go my way. This is over the line. Whether I agree with this or not.. you don't pass an 800 billion dollar bill without reading it! You don't pass any bill without reading it! Are you telling me that in a 1000+ page document... there aren't any surprises?

The dems passed a bill saying that there must be a 48 hour wait period... they are breaking their own law... This is disgusting and a disgrace to this great nation.

Check out this inquiry Rep. Tom Price made on the House floor today. He's basically complaining no one has had time to read the stimulus bill and questioning procedure since members ARE, at least in theory, supposed to read legislation before voting on it.

PRICE: “It is my understanding then it is the ruling of the chair, the ruling of the speaker after having this bill made available to the members of the House after 11 or 12 o’clock last night, over 1,000 pages, it’s the ruling of the Speaker this is to have been considered read even though it is physically impossible for any member to have read this?"

CHAIR:“That is correct.”

Vote on 800 billion dollar bill without reading it? Sure... why not.

Can you believe this!? They are going to vote on this 1,071 page "stimulus" bill without reading it. They have yet to release the full bill. They plan on voting it today. One democratic senator is saying:

“No, I don’t think anyone will have the chance to [read the entire bill],” Lautenberg told CNSNews.com.

We are talking about 800 billion dollars. According to Obama... this could make or break this country. This is one of the biggest bills in the history of the country and the congressmen don't get a chance to read it!? This is an absolute outrage. Change? You bet. Now we don't even have to read bills before voting on them.

Lobbyists have bill... legistlators and public do not...

US News is reporting that lobbyists have the bill... the legislators and the public do not. This is some change of the way washington does business... or not. Hey libs... do you realize yet? Obama is a farce, a phony, a fake, a complete joke. I can't believe I'm saying this... but I prefer Bush over this guy.

We're receiving E-mails from Capitol Hill staffers expressing frustration that they can't get a copy of the stimulus bill agreed to last night at a price of $789 billion. What's more, staffers are complaining about who does have a copy: K Street lobbyists. E-mails one key Democratic staffer: "K Street has the bill, or chunks of it, already, and the congressional offices don't. So, the Hill is getting calls from the press (because it's leaking out) asking us to confirm or talk about what we know—but we can't do that because we haven't seen the bill. Anyway, peeps up here are sort of a combo of confused and like, 'Is this really happening?'" Reporters pressing for details, meanwhile, are getting different numbers from different offices, especially when seeking the details of specific programs.

Worse, there seem to be several different versions of what was agreed upon, with some officials circulating older versions of the package that seems to still be developing. Leadership aides said that it will work out later today and promised that lawmakers will get time to review the bill before Friday's vote.

Bill Richardson – drops out as commerce secretary citing a campaign finance grand jury investigation

Timothy Geitner – nominated and kept as treasury secretary despite not paying his taxes. He tried to redeem himself with a bank recovery plan. He came out with no plan whatsoever… the dow dropped 400 points after his speech.

Tom Daschle – He withdrew his nomination for secretary of health and human services because he also did not pay his taxes

Hillary Clinton – There is a lawsuit pending because she actually voted to give the secretary of state position a raise. She is also questioned for conflict of interest because the Clintons have gotten unprecedented amounts of foreign donations during their careers.

Nancy Killefer – She was nominated for performance czar. She withdrew after it came out that she also did not pay her taxes

Obama saying “I won” - when prodded about why he wasn’t listening to Republicans. He says “I won.” This destroys his promise for bipartisanship.

Obama breaks transparency promise with first bill – Barack promised to post bills for 48 hours on a website before signing them. He broke this promise on his first bill.

Judd Gregg- Gregg is a republican senator that was nominated for Commerce Secretary. He drops out as a cabinet member citing the “stimulus” bill and the census.

Those are all things said by the great Barack Obama. However, we have found out that they are not reality.

He said that he would post every bill on a website for 48 hours before it is signed into law. He has already broken this once, and he's about to break it again with an 800 billion dollar stimulus plan.

The one thing that he really stressed in his campaign is bipartisanship. This was something many senators preached as well. Now the election is over and they are in control. There is no bipartisanship. Their process for making this 800 billion dollar bill was to draft a bill without any republicans even present. This was also done behind closed doors. They brought it onto the congressional floors... and plucked just enough GOP senators away to pass it. How do they reconcile the difference between the Senate and House bill? The democrats met behind closed doors without Republicans even present. But at least they're going to post the bill for 48 hours... nope... they're not doing that either. Now they are poised to pass this bill today. The text of the bill has not even been released to the public yet. Now we see their true colors. They are working on their own. Barack Obama has repeatedly said things like "Well... I won." This is not bipartisan politics. This is partisan politics on a scale we have never before seen in this country.

Dow down 2000 pts since Obama elected

The stock market looks to the future. Even as Obama gets his special interest gift package... even as Obama pumps 2 trillion dollars into the banks... the investors see the future as bleak. The private sector does not believe in Obama. I hope I'm wrong... but I think we're in for a long bumpy ride.

Obama breaks transparency campaign promise ALREADY!

Obama has already broken one of his campaign promises. He says:

End the Practice of Writing Legislation Behind Closed Doors:
As president, Barack Obama will restore the American people's trust in their government by making government more open and transparent. Obama will work to reform congressional rules to require all legislative sessions, including committee mark-ups and conference committees, to be conducted in public. By making these practices public, the American people will be able to hold their leaders accountable for wasteful spending and lawmakers won't be able to slip favors for lobbyists into bills at the last minute.

Obama is going off the deep end. I was taking his presidency with an open mind. He has convinced me that he is exactly what I feared, a socialist radical. He is everything that I said he would be and then some. He is nowhere near the "post partisan" candidate that he said he was. Barack Obama is nothing more than a socialist radical in the worst way.

Obama victory causes biggest post-election market slump in US history.

Usually what happens after an election is the stock market has a large rally. NOT THIS TIME MY FRIENDS! The Barack Obama stock market rally turned into the biggest post-election stock market slump in the history of the United States of America. The Dow dropped 486 points! 486 points.. that is an enormous drop.

Why is this happening?
1) Barack Obama has made the promise to double the capital gains tax. This would greatly reduce the amount of profit an investor can make in the market.

2) Barack Obama has made the promise to increase the dividends tax. This too encourages people to not invest.

3) Barack Obama has made the promise to increase taxes on big businesses. This will mean less profits and less international sales for many companies. This will hurt the value of the stock for many US companies.

Every candidate has campaign promises that they don't keep. If I had to pick three, it'd be these three.

In the meantime, the GOP needs to regroup for 2010.

This would put McCain in office with democrat congress. Every piece of legislation would require a lot of compromising and thinking it through.

An Obama presidency would lead to rubber stamp bill passage...

Can McCain win the election but not the popular vote?

With Obama running a national campaign... this is likely if McCain wins. The battleground state polls are all tightening on election day. If he's going to win this thing McCain it's going to be close. If he loses... it could get ugly.

I hope and pray that McCain does win for the future of this country. May the best man win... and by that I mean John McCain.

What do Bush and Obama have in common?

Assuming the polls hold true, Barack Obama will be the next president of the united states.

However one things concerns me... there is two common things between Bush and Obama.

1) They both look to the government to solve problems rather than the people.

2) On defense... when Bush was put into office, he had no foreign policy experienced.

McCain offers something different on foreign policy... he actually has experience. I think Obama is much more likely to make a poor foreign policy decision just as Bush did with Iraq because of his inexperience.

Obama tax cut puts 36% of the country on welfare

Brace yourself. Last year 49.2 million U.S. households filed returns that obligated them to pay absolutely no federal income taxes

Your annual income wouldn't have to be quite as low as you'd imagine for you to be free of the income tax. Because of deductions, credits and exemptions, a family of four can earn about $43,000 and pay nothing.

There were 136 million tax returns filed last year and 49.2 million had no income tax obligations.

Using the Obama tax calculator, I entered my family's situation into the fields:
Income - $30,000
Mortgage - $50,000
Family size - 4
Children - yes

We did not pay federal income tax last year. We got every penny back. However, his tax calculator says we would get $2413 back as a "tax cut." WE DID NOT PAY ANY TAXES!!! If we got $2413 in the mail, that would be a welfare check. We don't need welfare, we get by just fine.

269 Electoral Vote Tie

This would most certainly be interesting. There are multiple ways for this to happen. In my opinion, the most likely scenario is where McCain wins all the Bush states, but loses New Mexico, Nevada, and Iowa.

Another: Take the previous scenario, give Colorado to Obama. Give McCain New Hampshire and Nevada.

Another: Take the previous scenario and swap New Mexico and Nevada.

The 12th amendment says that the election immediately goes to Capitol Hill and the House decides the president. The Senate decides who the vice president is.

What's interesting is we could have a Republican Vice President and a Democrat President. The senate is 49-50-1 dems... however... Lieberman supports John McCain... so that'd put it to 50-50... Dick Cheney would break the tie.

If you think 2000 was bad... just wait for this. If it doesn't happen this year, it will happen eventually.

Barack Obama endorses redistribution of wealth in election bombshell video

In an election bombshell, a recording has surfaced where Barack Obama endorses redistribution of wealth for racial equality. This is absolutely appalling. Barack "Spread the wealth around" Obama could not be more clear what his intentions are. He wants to penalize the rich. He feels that he knows how to spend your money better than you do. He thinks that it is better for him to take your money and distribute it to government programs than it would be for you to give it to a charity of your choice. You can call it socialist, you can call it marxist, you can call it whatever you want. There is one thing that I am sure it is... and that is fundamentally anti-capitalist. It is unfair and unamerican.
