VOICE YOUR OPINIONS TO YOUR AWFUL OHIO SENATORS!
Click here to link to the email form for self declared Republican Senator George Voinovich and here for Dewine.
For Dewine's, click the contact information button.
These two Senators are acting like Democrats in the Senate. This is totally unacceptable. I encourage you to write to these senators and let them know that you want them to stand by CONSERVATIVE principals. As of right now, they might as well be democrats.
Point of information:
They both voted for the democrat designed immigration bill that forgives illegals' social security fraud AND illegal immigration. It allows them to transfer their money paid into social security under a fake number into their new legal number when given amnesty. This whole bill is a slap in the face to the laws of our land and conservative principles.
I encourage you to not only write to them about immigration, but to keep in mind that we want them to stick to their conservative principles in general. Make your voice heard. Make a difference.
BIGGEST GDP GROWTH IN 2.5 YEARS!
THE ECONOMY IS BOOMING! The 1st quarter GDP growth was the fastest in 2.5 years at a whopping 5.3%. The economy keeps showing more and more signs of strength. Remember that it posted these numbers despite high energy prices. It will be interesting to see if the liberals ever acknowledge the fact that Bush’s economic strategy worked. I encourage you to look at the article. It follows the same liberal media template that all positive economic articles follow. A positive first, random negative economic news second… However, it is becoming harder and harder for the liberal press to actually find negative economic data. The time may come where they don’t have anything negative to report if the Republicans can gain a CONSERVATIVE majority in the senate or at least maintain their Republican majority. I’m telling you… the democrats are in for a big surprise come November. When people go to the polls… their wallets will speak. The economy is strong just as the support for the Republicans will be.
NEW HOMES SALES JUMP! (wait.... wasn't this a bubble?)
The housing markets continue to go against the liberal media's pessimistic forecasts as the housing markets take a jump up this month.
The Commerce Department reported that sales of new single-family homes increased by 4.9 percent last month to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 1.198 million units, the highest rate since last December.
Now I want you to read this article. I find it ridiculous how the media CANNOT report any good economic news without digging for the one obscure economic that is not reporting good numbers. It's funny how they're bringing up manufacturing in an article about new homes.
Liberal media template for good economy outlooks:
1) BRIEFLY state what is good.
2) Find the 3 out of 1,000,000 things about the economy that are actually bad and talk about those to make sure the last thing the reader sees is how bad our economy is.
That can only hide if for so long. Come November, the American people will vote with their wallets. Despite GOP problems, the Republicans will not lose their majority in the house or senate because our economy is ROLLING!
Al Gore Helping to SPEED UP "Global Warming" by his standards
Even though there hasn't been global warming in the last few years (there has actually been global cooling)... Al Gore still released a movie about the horrible Global Warming EMERGENCY!!!!!!!!! That's right... an EMERGENCY!!!!!! I found out one hillarious fact...
First... here's a quote from the drudge:
"The most vulnerable part of the Earth's environment is the very thin layer of air clinging near to the surface of the planet, that we are now so carelessly filling with gaseous wastes that we are actually altering the relationship between the Earth and the Sun - by trapping more solar radiation under this growing blanket of pollution that envelops the entire world," Vice President Gore told the U.N. Global Warming conference of 159 nations this morning in Koyto, Japan.Gore had more to say...
"The extra heat which cannot escape is beginning to change the global patterns of climate to which we are accustomed. Our fundamental challenge now is to find out whether and how we can change the behaviors that are causing the problem."
Now for the funny part...
The message is serious. So serious in fact, the DRUDGE REPORT has calculated that Vice President Al Gore is burning more than 439,500 pounds of fuel, or 65,600 gallons, at a cost of more than $131,000 on his 16,000 mile daytrip, just to deliver the warning.
Gore's plane, a Boeing 707 gas guzzler burns on average 4.1 gallons a mile. The complete Washington to Florida to Washington to Alaska to Japan and return to Washington trip calculated from commercial air mileage tables is just over 16,000 miles total. Gas gallons needed for AIR FORCE II to go 16,000 miles: 65,600. Applying the average price of $2.01 per gallon of Jet A to the 16,000 mile r/t -- the fuel cost alone passes $131,000.00. There are 6.7 pounds per gallon of jet fuel. Total pounds of fuel burned on Gore's Global Warming Express -- 439,500.
How about we start with you Mr. Hypocritical Vice President... How about you stop causing "global warming" yourself?
CULTURE OF CORRUPTION in the DEMOCRATS...... AGAIN!
Congressman William Jefferson, a DEMOCRAT from Louisiana was caught on tape accepting $100,000 in 100 dollar bills from an FBI informant. Agents ended up finding the money hidden in a freezer. The coversations were also recorded. The culture of corruption in the Democrat Party is clear.
Libya taken off of terrorist state list
The story of Libya is one of the biggest milestones of the Bush administration. I hope all of you realize how huge this is. First, let's look at what Libya used to be. Libya used to be a state that was actively pursuing Weapons of Mass Destruction. Libya used to be a state that aided terrorists. Now... after seeing what happened to Iraq when they tried to push us around, they have VOLUNTARILY abandoned their weapons programs and have cut ties with terrorism. This is outlined by the Washington Times:
Col. Moammar Gadhafi is a tyrant[the leader of Libya]: an iron-fisted authoritarian whose regime is responsible for multiple acts of terrorism, including the 1988 attack on a commercial airliner over Lockerbie, Scotland, that killed 270 people. Despite the depravity of Libya's past actions, however, Washington's decision to remove its designation as a sponsor of terrorism and upgrade diplomatic relations with the country, the last step to full normalized relations, is clearly the right one.
Hopefully as mentioned in this piece in the Washington Times, Iran, North Korea, and Syria will realize that we mean what we say. Hopefully in a few years, we will be talking about the ends of Iran's, North Korea's, and Syria's weapons programs. While I doubt they will go as smoothly as Libya, one must not forget Libya. They were a clear example of our approach to the war on terrorism working. It is not the big failure that the democrats are trying to convince you.
Venezuela, Harry Belfonte, and Terrorism
Remember when I mentioned that Case Western Reserve University paid to bring "Harry Belafonte—actor, singer and social activist." Also recall that I brought it to attention that Harry Belfonte has met with Chavez... the tyrannical leader of Venezuela. I'm so glad that my university is wasting my tuition money to bring in speakers that sympathize with nations like this. The following is a piece on Venezuela's recently exposed ties to Iran and terrorism:
"Cuban intelligence has effectively cloned itself inside Venezuelan intelligence," Thomas A. Shannon, assistant secretary of state for Western Hemisphere affairs, told editors and reporters at the Washington Times. Mr. Shannon was also concerned about the nature of the intelligence relationship that Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez wants with Iran. If this were not disconcerting enough, Venezuela is also providing shelter for organizations with ties to unspecified "terrorist organizations in the Middle East." Reports suggest that Hezbollah is one of those unspecified organizations. The State Department announcement last week that Venezuela would be designated a country that is not fully cooperating with efforts against terrorism makes it the only country so designated that is not also on the list of state sponsors of terrorism. This designation, which was met by characteristically absurd responses from Venezuelan officials, is not a first step toward the designation of a state as a sponsor of terror (which is a designation not reached through a step-by-step process). The designation does mean, however, that Venezuela is banned from purchasing U.S. weapons. In addition to troubling connections with Iran, Venezuela has also developed a "more structured relationship" with the FARC and the ELN, two Colombian guerrilla groups classified as terrorist organizations by the State Department. Mr. Chavez has for some time, because of his ideological sympathies, granted guerrillas from both groups safe haven on his side of the Venezuela-Colombia border. But Mr. Shannon noted that more of the growing number of weapons brought across the border were from stockpiles maintained by the Venezuelan government, and that Venezuelan officials must have been involved in some stage of the trafficking. Mr. Chavez's overblown anti-American agitprop is of little concern to Washington, which should not be drawn into a conflict that the authoritarian firebrand is able to wage on his own terms. The Venezuelan president should not be allowed to become the focal point of U.S. policy, but while turning a deaf ear toward Mr. Chavez's demagoguery is a good practice, turning a blind eye to his country's practice of harboring groups with ties to terrorist organizations is not. The State Department's announcement should be a message that Venezuela's behavior is more than unsavory.
Dems blowing a huge opportunity!
Despite Republicans’ problems in congress and a low presidential approval rating, the democrats will not take the House in November. One reason is the Democrats lack of unity. While the Republicans have been having trouble following through with their party’s ideals, the Democrats still have no unified message. They still are taking the approach of “Let’s go against whatever Bush says.” This attitude will hurt them in 2006. Another interesting sequence of events…. The DNC chairman Howard Dean has blown all of their money. The GOP has a clear advantage in that category. Do the Republicans in congress deserve to be booted out of Congress? Probably… but I’d argue that the Dems in Congress deserve the same fate. For the reasons stated, I predict that the Congressional seat ratios will remain about the same.

Senator Reid claims making immigrants learn english is "racist"
According to good old Democrat Senator Reid… making the immigrants learn English is racist. It saves companies money. It will lessen the need for translators. We are not even saying that everyone has to speak English all the time. We are saying they need to learn the language as it is part of our culture. No one is complaining that we make them learn a little bit about our country. No one should have any problem with immigrants simply learning another element of our culture.
Bush standing up for Republican principles on immigration
President Bush is going back to his guns as a Republican. This new immigration reform is an excellent thing for America. It is a realistic plan that both sides of the aisle should be able to embrace. You will see the democrats pretend like they disagree with it anyways… that is their party platform. It has been shown in polls that 70% of the country agrees with his plan.
Now what is his plan?
1) Secure Borders: He will temporarily send troops to the border of Mexico while new technologically advanced fences are built. This will help us control the drug flow and prevent terrorists from gaining easy access to our country. This will also encourage people in Mexico to use legal means of entering our country.
By the end of 2008, we will increase the border patrols by 6,000.
We will get rid of the “catch and release program.” This will discourage illegal immigration.
2) Handle the people who want to simply work here and not become a citizen.
This will be done by creating a guest worker program. This will discourage people from entering the united states illegally. This will allow them to contribute to our economy legally.
3) Penalize those who hire illegals: ID card with biometrics to track workers.
4) Dealing with immigrants here illegally:
NO AMNESTY!!! Amnesty will set a precedence that will undermine the laws we are trying to enforce.
Penalties and back of the citizenship lines as long as they pass the national security check… this is a good approach because deporting 12 million people is not realistic.
5) Keep our nation’s immigration roots in tact.
6) MAKE THEM LEARN ENGLISH!
English is the language of our country. If they want to live here… they can learn our language and learn to respect our flag.
People may argue that we shouldn't make our national guard do this... We're paying for their college. They have agreed to be in the military. The military is not a free ride. You have to work for your money when the nation needs you. Well... the nation needs the national guard to keep our borders secure.
There is NO REASON for the democrats to oppose this bill. This is a friendly to both parties bill that should be easily passed. If they come out in opposition to this, it will be even more clear that their platform is “Whatever Bush does is wrong…. No matter how right it is”
Democrat Agenda? Looks like it
Ok... so the dems have come to a consensus on what they want to do if they come to power. This leaves us with the question of what will the republicans do if we keep them in power? You guys better prove to us that we should re-elect you in november. While the dem plan is merely impeach bush and cripple the economy... it's still more than the republicans are offering right now.
Kennedy car crash coverup?
It's funny how the Democrats call the GOP a culture of corruption... I think they're pointing the finger the wrong way...
ROLL CALL reports: According to a letter sent by Officer Greg Baird, acting chairman of the USCP FOP, the wreck took place at approximately 2:45 a.m. Thursday when Kennedy's car, operating with its running lights turned off, narrowly missed colliding with a Capitol Police cruiser and smashed into a security barricade at First and C streets Southeast.“The driver exited the vehicle and he was observed to be staggering,” Baird’s letter states. Officers approached the driver, who “declared to them he was a Congressman and was late to a vote. The House had adjourned nearly three hours before this incident. It was Congressman Patrick J. Kennedy from Rhode Island.”
Economy "firing on all cylinders"
The positive economic indicators are FLOODING in. I don't know how long it's going to have to do this for the liberals of America to admit our economy is in great shape. Let's face it... the Bush tax cuts are WORKING. He is standing up against the massive spending in congress. All is well on the GOP front. I would be willing to bet that we have already seen the low point in his presidency. He has already got back my support. I can assume that his push for more responsible spending will persuade many other people as well.
