Howard Dean endorses McCain
The real issue is this,” Dean said in March 2004, “Who would you rather have in charge of the defense of the United States of America, a group of people who never served a day overseas in their life, or a guy who served his country honorably and has three Purple Hearts and a Silver Star on the battlefields of Vietnam?”
Sounds like an endorsement of McCain to me. It's funny how he is preaching the opposite now!

Except he was talking about John Kerry.
If we look at what you wrote earlier in this blog, you think John McCain would be a terrible president, or to use your own words: "John McCain has been wrong on many of the most important issues of our time."
Its funny how you are preaching the opposite now!

John McCain may have been wrong on many issues, but Barack Obama is wrong on all the issues. John McCain is still right on the war in Iraq (which we have won). He is right on drilling... he is right in his opposition to socialized medicine... he is right in his opposition to raising taxes. Would I have liked Mitt Romney, Giuliani, or Thompson instead? You bet. However, when you compare Barack Obama and McCain, there is no comparison. Barack Obama is a socialist radical. He wants to raise taxes more than this nation has ever seen.
I know he was talking about John Kerry... note the date... 2004. This is meant to get people thinking.

So you are telling me we have to pick the lesser of two evils. The whole entire Republican party has to reluctantly support McCain because he is the best choice. I really think that McCain was chosen by the neo-con establishment and not by true conservatives.
Of course, you argue that if we don't, we will have to deal with Obama's liberal agenda and "socialist" policies. Perhaps the pissed off Republicans ought to let Obama win just to shock the GOP to really reform their party.

Here is why they should not. Taxes can be lowered, once social programs are addded, they cannot be taken away easily. Socialized medicine will be here to stay.
