Remembering 9/11

It's now been 7 years since the attacks on New York and the United States. It was 7 years ago to this day that I had my gym teacher tell my class while we were on our field trip that two planes hit the world trade center. I will never forget when we got back from the trip seeing that the twin towers were gone... disappeared into a pile of rubble. I hope that we will never have to witness such a horrible scene in this country ever again. I have been one of Bush's biggest critics... but I will give him credit for keeping us safe. There has not been an attack on our soil in 7 years.

We must never forget the attacks on 9/11...

I’m proud to be an American,
where at least I know I’m free.
And I wont forget the men who died,
who gave that right to me.

And I gladly stand up,
next to you and defend her still today.
‘Cause there ain’t no doubt I love this land,
God bless the USA.
