My father had mentioned over the summer how he had to read a paper by William Ayers as part of one of his education classes. He had mentioned how scary some of things that William Ayers had written about were. Now Barack Obama is trumpeting around saying how he worked with William Ayers on an education plan. What does William Ayers think about education? Let's use his own words. The following is an excerpt from a speech that he gave in November 2006 in Venezuela. He gave this speech for Hugo Chavez, one of our nation's enemies. William Ayers has disturbingly radical views on education and you should all know about them since Barack Obama has worked with him on education and launched his political career in his basement.

I began teaching when I was 20 years old in a small freedom school affiliated with the Civil Rights Movement in the United States. The year was 1965, and I’d been arrested in a demonstration. Jailed for ten days, I met several activists who were finding ways to link teaching and education with deep and fundamental social change. They were following Dewey and DuBois, King and Helen Keller who wrote: “We can’t have education without revolution. We have tried peace education for 1,900 years and it has failed. Let us try revolution and see what it will do now.”

I walked out of jail and into my first teaching position—and from that day until this I’ve thought of myself as a teacher, but I’ve also understood teaching as a project intimately connected with social justice. After all, the fundamental message of the teacher is this: you can change your life—whoever you are, wherever you’ve been, whatever you’ve done, another world is possible. As students and teachers begin to see themselves as linked to one another, as tied to history and capable of collective action, the fundamental message of teaching shifts slightly, and becomes broader, more generous: we must change ourselves as we come together to change the world. Teaching invites transformations, it urges revolutions small and large. La educacion es revolucion! (The education is the revolution)

Are you scared that this man has worked with Obama on education? Are you scared that William Ayers, someone who believes that education should be used to provoke revolutions, helped launch Barack Obama's political career? I sure am. Saying this guy is a loony does not serve it enough justice. If put in a position of power, this man could destroy America as we know it.

FRAUD! FRAUD! MORE FRAUD!

Obama's campaign has funded an organization to "get out the vote." This organization, ACORN, has paid people to vote. They have registered people many times. There was one man who registered 72 times!

They have registered Mickey Mouse!
They have registered dead people!
They have registered 7 year olds!
They have registered many other made up names!

This organization is a corrupt organization that is trying to cheat for Barack Obama. The most disturbing thing is Barack Obama not only funded this, he was once a general counsel for them.

What makes ACORN particularly embarrassing for Obama is that he used to be one of them. He served as general counsel for ACORN in Illinois, channeled millions to the organization from the Chicago Annenberg Challenge (whose funds he distributed) and has lately spent $800,000 of his campaign money to subsidize the group’s activities. For this emolument, ACORN has registered voters 15 times over, canvassed the graveyards for votes and prepared to commit electoral fraud on a
massive scale.

John McCain differs from George Bush by leaps and bounds. George Bush thought he could increase spending and cut taxes. That just doesn't make sense. McCain wants to cut taxes AND cut spending. This a very different stance and one that makes sense.

You want to work hard and earn an honest living? I hope you're ready to share so that the guy playing xbox in his basement all day long earns just as much as you. Nothing else needs to be said. These words speak for themselves.

"Your new tax plan is going to tax me more, isn't it?" the plumber asked, complaining that he was being taxed "more and more for fulfilling the American dream."

"It's not that I want to punish your success. I just want to make sure that everybody who is behind you, that they've got a chance for success too," Obama responded. "My attitude is that if the economy's good for folks from the bottom up, it's gonna be good for everybody ... I think when you spread the wealth around, it's good for everybody."

The more I think about this bailout plan... the more angry I get. Anyone from Cleveland will remember what happened when the city tried to bail out LTV steel. LTV steel needed to take out a 250 million dollar loan to keep their business afloat. They didn't have enough funds to take out this loan. They turned to the government to bail them out. However, despite getting the bailout, the business went under shortly after. They were only required to pay back 85% of the loan. This is a 37.5 million dollar loss for the banks involved (although I'm sure the government helped absorb that). The government also lost out on the money they supplied in their bailout package.

What lesson does this teach us? If a business is failing, let it fail. It is failing for a reason. Money pumped into dying businesses will be lost.

The american people will not get a return on investment on that 700 billion dollars. If that money were put into defense and other technologies, those technologies could be sold to other countries. This would bring more money into our economy.

Russert: Senator Biden, what do you think of John McCain as a Democratic candidate for vice president?

Biden: I think John McCain would be a great candidate for vice president. I mean it. I know John doesn't like me saying it, but the truth of the matter is, it is. We need to heal the red and the blue here, man, the red states and the blue states. And John McCain is a loyal Republican. God, he drives me crazy how loyal he is as a Republican as much of a friend as he is. We disagree on a lot of things, but I'll tell you, the fact of the matter is that we've got to bring together the red and the blue here. This is a divided nation. And I think that--I would still urge John Kerry to pick up the phone and call John McCain. He'll say no probably. But I think John Kerry has an obligation to do that for the way he wants to heal. And I know John will listen. He'll say no, but I'm going to tell you, I'm counting on him being a more loyal American than he is a loyal Republican.

And, John, I'm not so sure you're so happy about the Senate. I'd like to see you president instead of the guy we have now. So--but you're a great senator. But I think you'd also be doing a great service. Do I think it's going to happen? No. But I think it is a reflection of the desire of this country, and the desire of people in both parties, to want to see this God-awful, vicious rift that exists in the nation healed, and John and John could go a long way to healing that rift.

It was 7 years ago to this day that I had my gym teacher tell my class while we were on our field trip that two planes hit the world trade center. I will never forget when we got back from the trip seeing that the twin towers were gone... disappeared into a pile of rubble. I hope that we will never have to witness such a horrible scene in this country ever again. I have been one of Bush's biggest critics... but I will give him credit for keeping us safe. There has not been an attack on our soil in 7 years.

This is in reference to Governor Palin's description of herself as a hockey mom, "a pit bull with lipstick." What is Obama's explanation? The pig was McCain and Palin was the lipstick. I don't think so Barack... nice try.

He always tears into McCain for his Karl Rove politics. Karl Rove would advise his candidate to be tough. But he would never go as far as calling a woman a pig. If Barack loses this election, this would be one of the nails in his coffin. Congratulations Barack... you've ticked off women everywhere.

It is lines like this that will win over voters. Taxation is only one part of the equation. We need to make sure that the taxes that we do pay is being used wisely. This promise in a paper authored by Sarah Palin and John McCain says:

In the first 100 days of our administration, we will look at every agency and department and expenditure of the federal government and ask this simple question: Is it serving the needs of the taxpayer? If it is not, we will reform it or shut it down, and we will spend money only on what is truly in the interest of the American people.

This message will resonate with economic conservatives. This will also resonate with the average american. This will resonate with the average american who is always balancing their own budgets because they understand that money must spent wisely. Sarah Palin and John McCain are completely changing the Republican Party. This is not the 3rd term of Bush. They will bring a completely new brand of conservatism to the table. I say bon voyage to the big spending Bush GOP and hello to the economic conservative John McCain GOP.

Sarah Palin has an 80% approval rating in her home state of Alaska. This is the highest of any governor in the country. This compares to the 16% approval rating for the US Congress. Sarah Palin is young, dynamic, tough, conservative, honest, a reformer, and female. With the speech that was given yesterday, she dazzled like no one expected outside of the state of Alaska. She has an 80% approval rating as governor... and now America knows why.

Sarah Palin has shown that she is ready for the national spotlight. She was absolutely amazing tonight. She had a very dramatic and passionate speech. She got numerous standing ovations throughout her speech. One thing is clear after this speech, she is tough, she's down to earth, and she is the future of this party.

As those of you who have followed this blog know... I was wishy-washy about my support for John McCain for the last few months. Let me make this clear. The Sarah Palin VP selection has put me 100% into John McCain's camp.
