Mass Confusion

At first, I joined friendster. That was fun for a while, then I was introduced to facebook. Also enjoyable for a good bit. Now, I have a myspace account too. The problem comes in when I am wasting time surfing between sites, updating each one because I don't want anyone to miss out on anything. Do I really need all these accounts to keep in touch with my friends? Is one better than the other? Can I successfully consolidate?

First Question -- Do I need them all? Well, I haven't seen any major benefit. I do, from time to time, check out new pictures of my friends. And, I have made connections with some that I have lost touch with. I haven't, however, made any life-changing connections [especially within the last year or so] that I couldn't have made in other ways.

Second Question -- Which is the best? I suppose they all have thier merits. I like facebook because of the picture format [you can tag each friend, and everyone is updated that it has been posted], but I like flickr better. I like friendster because... well I've used it the longest. I like myspace because it's more customizable [is that a word?]. Overall? I think myspace wins.

Last Question -- Consolidation? I think I can link directly to friends facebook/friendster pages. If so, then when I want to check up on what my friends are up to, I can go to their page. If I give notice that I am closing my account, then my friends know where to find me, too [here, myspace]. The benefit is that I wont be wasting time updating 3 different sites [time that could be spent posting to my blog].

That's all I got.
