Just a few Items
As of 11:00 am, tomorrow, we will be finished with the first 2 years of dental school [where's the Tylenol?!?!?]
There are a few topics I want to discuss briefly:
1.) Golf Day Event Schedule
2.) I need help with the official move to goingdental.com
3.) I have patients! [and need to move into the clinic]
4.) Suggested Reading before entering clinic.
So... Read on!

Help!
Anyone with any experience with MovableType, I am preparing to upload the program to my domain name. I am afraid that it will be a painful process, and I'm not totally confident in the support offered by my hosting package. I'm not quite sure what order to do things in, or if I've met the minimum requirements. The manual is very thick, and hard to understand if you're not very familiar with xhtml, web design, etc. [I'm not.] I am planning on fighting with this for the next few weeks, so if you might be able to ease this transition, by all means...

I've met my first patient. I'll be delivering a lower partial, and an full upper denture, sometime next week. I'm looking forward to the experience [seeing a patient and not having to do a prophy], and I think it might be a nice way to ease into the process. I'll have the benefit of seeing the end result before I having to start from scratch [with someone other than Mrs. Kavo], and it gives me a chance to get some confidence up before I begin any operative. There are a few other appointments to be scheduled early this month; an ortho case, the delivery of a crown, and final impressions for a full upper and implant retained lower dentures.

I've also had some books suggested to me by dentists in the area.
"Evaluation, Diagnosis and Treatment of Occlusal Problems" by Peter E. Dawson
and
"The Art of the Examination (why Patient Care Goes Beyond Clinical Correctness)" by D.M. D. Barry Polansky
"The Art of the Exam" has come highly recomended by anyone that has read it. I will give both of these a thorough review once I've read them.
Also on my list for the summer; "The 7 Habits" by S Covey, "How to Win Friends and Influence People" by D Carnegie, and "The Orgin of Species" by Darwin.

Congratulations on the first two years of school, what a great accomplishment. Have you tried other hosting websites? I think they make the transition easy...for example:
namecheap.com
http://www.dreamhost.com
http://www.mediatemple.net/
I will also recommend a book my uncle recommended to me when I graduated highschool. It is REALLY small but worth it. It is called "As a Man Thinketh' by James Allen. Good luck golfing!
