Phase II Launched...

With every release of software it is expected that bugs and unforeseen errors/problems will arise. We would like to know what is working well and what you feel needs to improve. The SOEL team appreciates your feedback.

One addition to the network that has already been suggested is to provide students with a digital copy of the ADA codes list for Tx planning purposes. A digital copy would be far more effective. When searching for a procedure code, one could hit crt+f to pull up a find dialog box, then search for the procedure digitally. This would save paper, time, and assure students have an up to date list. If we're going paperless, lets start with paperless memos!

Thanks for your comment. We are attempting to do something for you to enable you to access coding information from your computer. When we work this out we will make sure everyone is advised.

It would be nice to be able to enter a treatment plan without having an open encounter for that patient. As it is, we can really only treatment plan when the patient is in the clinic.

The most important improvement for me by far would be enabling us to schedule our own patients. Not an electronic waiting list, but the ability to add it right to the schedule and change it if necessary. I do this anyway with all my patients. All the PCC does is duplicate my effort plus click the button. Their time would be better spent on more important things.

FYI:
Announcements can now be made through the bulletin board located on the patient list screen in the encounter. It is on the left hand panel below the navigation area. Please check this daily for information.

After a week of use it seems that all the username and password entry will become old very soon--especially for the preceptors. I hope that someone is considering the addition of card swipes to the computers for students and faculty to expedite the clinic flow that has slowed. If so, is there any way to implement use of our Case ID's for more than just getting through doors after normal hours of operation?

Also, is there any way to get the lab list on our computers. It would sure be nice to follow up on lab cases from our cubilces.

If paperless is the eventual goal, is there a way to avoid putting TWO receipts in the charts. Seems like an unnecessary duplication of efforts and more "stress" to already stressed charts.

We have made an adjustment in the receipts. Only patients requesting a paper receipt will receive one.... Hope this helps.

You can treatment plan in SoE without an encounter. We will be glad to show you how to do that....

Lets add this blog as an approved site so we can access it while at our cubes.

I will talk with the committee about adding the blog.
Also - please pay attention to your memo's on your desktop. We have been advised that you do not want to receive paper memo's - so to avoid sending them we are not placing them on your desktops. They have important information that will help you with SoE. Thanks
