Ohio Campaigns and the Movies
Sorry for a lack of updates, I'm sure you all heard about the CT Senatorial primary, and now the latest current events have turned to the potential UK-US terrorist flight attacks, so lots in the real work to keep you busy.
Meanwhile, I have what could be a treat for you. Many may not know this, but there is acutally a documentary in the works for the Ohio Gubenatorial Race this year. The movie, Swing State, is being produced by In The Zone Productions. Those behind it, are following Ted Strickland/Lee Fisher's camp on the campaign trail. Check out the Trailer.
While playing around at the In the Zone Productions site, I also stumbled across a youtube account for someone pro-blackwell. I'm always a fan of seeing what the competition has against us, and I will admit it's funny seeing a video regarding Ted Strickland's stand on the Marriage Amendment up there. Oh the drama, the humanity! The CSPAN clip it shows is a bit anti-climactic and it is funny seeing how the marriage amendment is still trying to be played in this race. Don't worry too much, there is also a pro-strickland youtube user
Upon further searchings of youtube(can it ever really get boring?) there are a variety of videos to play with. Such as this one of John Edwards at Paul Hackett's house for a Strickland fundraiser (how many awesome Democrats can you fit in one house?). Unfortunately, the sound doesn't synch up, but you get the point.
Or how about this interview with Strickland regarding the whole "Gay Rumor" on a blog. Ted does a pretty nice job of discussing the use of blogs in smear campaigns.
Enough with the Strickland Love, here are a few videos from the Brown side. The Sherrod for Senate accounts are actually pretty diverse, so you should check it out. There's even a nice interview regarding Brown's views on the internet including MySpace.
Speaking of Brown videos, if you're interested in seeing the infamous cgi twin towers Dewine ad and here's Brown's rebuttal ad. And of course, thanks to the Daily Show, you can see Lewis Black's commentary on the DeWine Ad.
And finally if you're reminicing over 2004 there's a spoof ad you may enjoy and a short expose on East Cleveland and voting scare tactics that's pretty interesting as well.
Blogging Liberally -- scouring YouTube, so you don't have to. Enjoy your weekend!
