it's not like it's rocket science

Yahoo 360 beta

Yahoo is in the process of creating a blog aggregation portal as discussed here and on Jeremy Smith's blog earlier this summer. It's called Yahoo 360 and it's still in beta mode. (more)

What it is so far is a yahoo hosted blog with wizards to aggregate other content onto the same page; content like your Flickr (a yahoo subsidiary) photostream, or Yahoo Photos, even feeds from other blogs and such as suggested:

Feeds are here!

Share content you create elsewhere -- your Netflix queue, your other blogs, and more -- in Yahoo! 360°.

Also included is the ability to write reviews which are basically location targeted blog postings with some social networking. Yahoo has also created a specific mechanism for posting lists of things (favorite albums, exes, things not to eat at leutner, etc.)

Lastly, 360 is integratedinto the yahoo userscape, therefore you are able to create a profile and connect and list friends, and get this, specify which content is viewed by whom all the way to the friend of a friend of a friend level! Users can even preview what the page looks like for all the seperate viewer levels (just me, public, friends of friends of friends, friends of friends, friends).

In terms of Case, Yahoo 360 is like the user profile (mine for example) in the wiki system integrated with the user's blog.

Check out my demo 360 page here and feel free to start your own or friend me, I'm interested to see how this project turns out.
