NASA Internship

After 18 years of interest, and about 5 years of attempting, I have finally accomplished one of my life goals. This summer I will be working for NASA as an intern on a UAV (Unmanned Ariel Vehicle) project. Essentially, there is a big remote controlled airplane that I will be working on in order to get it ready to fly itself using artificial intelligence.

Awesome right? Everything I'm interested in rolled up into one tidy package: aerospace, robots, and artificial intelligence. The project is kind of like a precursor to EDDY in the movie Stealth, but I highly doubt it will go crazy and try and firebomb anything. I'm not even certain it will fly this summer. To be honest, I don't know a whole lot about the project right now.

Anyway, It just goes to show that dreams can be accomplished.

isn't that a bit...scary? I mean, the whole 'thing flying around up there with no real human control' bit?

well, now that i think about it, there's some humans that I trust less than robots. God Speed, Sir.
