I'm Classy
Yes that's right; I'm classy. As in, I'm in class. Today is the first day of my Junior year of college at Case Western. Even though I am technically still a sophomore (I did this little switcharoo with my majors last semester) I won't let that slow down my first day as a Junior Sophomore. Whatever that means.
As usual, the Case Administration sucks at life in all the important ways. Namely, they shifted most of my classes, adjusted others and flat out cancled what would have been my last ever math class.
Needless to say I'm pissed at them. Very pissed.
To counterpoint my irritation is the fact that I'm taking my first two Psychology and Philosophy classes, now if only I could squeaze in a little more Artificial intelligence.
Stay classy Cleveland.
Snakes On a Blog
I dunno about all of you guys out there, but I can't wait to see Snakes on a Plane. The other day I recieved an amazing personalized phone call from my good friend, Samuel L. Jackson, informing me that Snakes on a Plane is going to be the best movie ever.
Like I didn't know that already.
Visit To Lick Observatory
So tonight I have the pleasure of visiting my friend Zoe up at the Lick Observatory on Mt. Hamilton. It's pretty sweet. Zoe is helping to search for new planets as a part of the Lick Planet Search Program. She also works for SETI and happens to have a certain famous rockstar scientist (Frank Drake) as her mentor.
At this point in the evening (still fairly early for this type of thing) I have seen 2 sunsets, a 120 inch telescope, a 40 inch telescope, Jupiter (clearly enough to see stripes) and three of its moons, equipment for telescope mirror grinding (huge) and a nightscape of the bay area.
Apparently Lick is the name of the man who built the observatory back in the early 1880's after he had some women problems.
