European Adventure Part 1

I am currently sitting in a friend of a friend's living room abroad in Ireland. Day one complete. I'm on a massive trans contineental adventure to meet up with Matt Stokes in Amsterdam with Ben and Jeremy. We have decided to keep the plan somewhat open ended so as not to pidgeon-hole our travels. So far it HAS payed off.

Yesterday we three dudes were sitting in JFK airport when we hear a little announcement stating that our flight was overbooked and that they were looking for 4 volunteers to switch flights in exchange for an upgraade or 400 Delta Miles. The three of us all looked up at once and sort of said "Hey that could be us". As it turns out the people who they didn't have seatsd for were us, so we took the upgrade and switched flights. BEST TRAVEL DECISION EVER. Buisness class international was awesome, the food, the chairs, the personal screen with games and tv. The whole package deal.

The switch involved us flying into London instead of Shannon on the way to Dublin. Our luggage was sitting in dublin waiting for us when we got there. I was thrilled, or at least pleasantly surprised. We then took a 4 hour bus ride to Cork to stay with Ben and Jeremy's friend Kelly in her apartment/dorm abroad, which is where I am now.

More fun to come!
