I Won the CellFilm Festival

So yesterday I won $1,000. About a week prior I randomly asked someone what the deal was about the CellFilm Festival, and what they told me was quite intriguing. They told me that it was a film festival exclusively for films made on only cell phones; no editing, or splicing aloud, just straight footage, and the best one wins a thousand dollars. He had me at the grand, only catch being that I had just one day to create and submit my film.

The next day was filled with experiments, Beevo and I shot an entire short film that I did not end up submitting before I thought up "the Life of a Snowball", but after that it was a breeze.

The film is broken up into three vignettes, to be watched in order, back to back. I was trying to capture shots that could not easily be captured with a conventional camera, which is what lead me to create the interesting shots that are present in the video.

"the Life of"

a Drain

a Sneaker

a Snowball

Yeah, that did it. I took home the grand prize, a giant $1,000 check.

Congratulations, I thought they were all quite good, but was particularly amused by yours and the one with the rubber band and scissors.

I was wondering how you protected the phone. Did you keep it in a ziplock bag or some other waterproof container?
