Fairfax Hits Erie
Fairfax #25 of 30 arrived on Wednesday and tagged along to Erie, PA for the weekend.

Marissa's Bunny - Infantile Spasms
I happen to be a big fan of Penny Arcade. I read pretty much everything they post, and their comics have been the source of a lot of fun-poking at gamer friends. Every now and then, however, they do something truly awesome.
Two weeks ago they posted a link to http://www.marissasbunny.com, which is run by a father dealing with his 9-month-old daughter's Infantile Spasms. His original idea was to send Marissa's stuffed rabbit Fairfax to friends in different cities in kind of a "traveling gnome" kind of way, to raise awareness of the condition. Eventually, this grew to include 2 more bunnies, one of which traveled to the Penny Arcade Expo. Now they're selling "Fairfaxes" on the site and asking their readers to spread the word.
So I ordered a bunny. When it gets here I plan to spend a few minutes over lunch or before or after work snapping pictures with it around campus, and eventually around the city. Of course, that doesn't really help spread the word at all, besides the few people I expect will actually ask what I'm doing. Case blogging, however, feeds directly onto a lot of homepages. So here goes. I figure this is as good a reason to start blogging as any.
