Women in Service to Appalachia offer $500 Scholarship

Amount of Scholarship: $500
Qualifications
Women 18 years or older
Enrolled or accepted in an institution of higher learning
Regularly involved in community service
Repeat applications will not be considered
Deadline
The application deadline is June 1
Submit:
Completed, typed scholarship form (available online)
Two letters of reference, on organization letterhead from adults who can speak to your involvement in community service.
Community service resume that lists and explains the service you have been involved in during the last four years.
Typed 300-word essay responding to the questions: "Please briefly describe an important economic, environmental, or social issue facing Appalachia today. For the issue you have chosen, and based on your service experience and school studies, please describe how an individual can help address this issue."
Transcript of college work or proof of enrollment/acceptance.
