Ohio Minority Engineering Student Scholarship
Qualifications
To be eligible for this scholarship program, applicants must:
- Be an African American student enrolled in an accredited Ohio College or University Engineering program.
- Attain a minimum 2nd year status in an Engineering program at an accredited Ohio College or University.
- Maintain at least a 2.5 GPA at time of selection and during holding of scholarship.
- Maintain reasonable standard of conduct, as defined by the Ohio Minority Student Scholarship Program selection Committee, expected of scholarship students.
Deadline
June 15th
Submit
• Completed scholarship application form.
• Complete a minimum 500 word essay of the need for engineers in today’s workforce and why the applicant intends to practice in this field.
• Official transcripts reflecting a minimum 2.5 GPA overall.
• Three attached letters of recommendation from, but not limited to, former teachers, college administrators, community leaders or other similar persons concerning the academic ability, character, reputation or professional aptitude of the applicant.
• US citizenship.
• A personal or telephone interview.
