New Postdoctoral Scholar: Mike Krawczynski

Mike Krawczynski joined the department this month as a postdoctoral scholar. Mike received his PhD in 2011 as a student in the joint program between MIT and Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution. At Case he is working with Jim Van Orman on experimental studies that address the origin and internal evolution of the terrestrial planets.

James Boyle receives SOURCE travel grant

We're happy to announce that CWRU senior geology major James Boyle received a travel grant from SOURCE (Support of Undergraduate Research & Creative Endeavors). This grant will enable James to attend The GSA Combined Northeastern/North-Central Annual Conference in March of this year. James will present his Senior Project titled "New Information on Titanichthys (Placodermi: Arthrodira) from the Cleveland Shale Member of the Ohio Shale Formation (Famennian) of Ohio, USA". Congratulations, James!
