      <content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Dr. Jim Karner joined the department in mid-September as a Senior Research Associate,  working with Prof. Harvey on the <a href="http://geology.cwru.edu/~ansmet/">Antarctic Search for Meteorites program</a> as well as a variety of planetary materials projects.  Before coming to Case, Dr. Karner was a research associate at the Institute of Meteoritics at the University of New Mexico,  where he had previously received his Ph.D. in 2003.</p>]]></content:encoded>
