Trent Dilfer, Super Bowl QB for one of the best defensive teams that ever took the field, has signed with our beloved Browns to take over at QB. Presumedly, we hope, the Browns will be grooming a young replacement that may come through the draft and can't seriously be Luke McCown, can it?

I like the changes that Phil Savage and Romeo Crennel are making. The feeling of dread so prevelant last fall has lifted and I'm anxious to see how this year's free agency acquisitions and draft go. (Who am I kidding? I say that every year.)

I take heart in the fact that someone who is not a superstar and is older than most in his line of work can still find a job. Maybe there is a future for me as Department Assistant extraordinaire when I'm still working at 85 because Social Security has long since run dry.
