What a Week
For the record, this was the quickest week ever.
Sunday went by in a blur, as I was driving from Bloomington back to Cleveland. I slept 12 hours Sunday night, through 2 of my classes on Monday. On Monday evening, I was still in a dazed state from all the sleep. Tuesday flew by due to a surprise visit from my parents. Wednesday was a typical Wednesday, I suppose. On Thursday, I went to my 10:00 AM, ate lunch, had a 3 hour physics lab, came back to the house, then went nearly immediately to the faculty dinner which my fraternity and Sigma Psi were co-sponsoring. That ended around 10:00. Woke up today, went to my classes, came back home, cleaned my room for the party, then chilled for a few hours. I should have slept, but oh well.
The party was an interesting experience to say the least. It was supposed to be a kick-ass party, as our pledges were bringing tons of other freshmen to the house. Unfortunately, since we cannot have public, postered parties this semester, fewer people than expected actually attended. The party had to have been the lamest I've ever attended. Only one of my good out-of-house friends made it. A lot of people were out of town this weekend or engaged with their boyfriend/girlfriend. I drank a little bit towards the beginning of the party, but there was nobody to drink with, so I stopped. Just when I thought things were wrapping up, a whole group of freshmen magically appeared around 1:00 AM. My room was transformed into a dance floor for the next hour. The alcohol eventually caught up to the low-tolerant stomachs of the freshmen and they just sat around for the next hour and chilled/recovered. At 3AM, us sober brothers decided that it was time for them to go home, so we sent them back in one mass, making sure there were sober people among them. You never know what can happen in Cleveland at that hour. I then drove an alumni to the other end of campus, came back, then pushed our handicapped brother back to his dorm. Now, here I sit, typing this journal. It is nearly 4 AM. I have to be in Dayton (4 hour drive) by 1:00 PM tomorrow. I had about 6 hours of sleep last night, and will have even less tonight. This is not the ideal schedule for somebody with lupus. Oh well. I will survive: the car stereo will keep me awake. Besides, hopefully I can convince my parents to buy me some Esther Price chocolate tomorrow. Yummmmm.
