Passing the Time
It is hard to believe that my first full week of classes has already passed by. Unfortunately, this week will be nothing like classes two weeks from now.
None of my labs have started up yet and my statistics professor was out of town this week, so a grad student was doing the intro.
The good news to come out of everything is that books were very cheap this semester. I only had to buy two real books and one $20 statistics book, which was authored by my professor. Altogether, it was only about $250 for supplies! The bad news is the books I did buy were pretty technical and I will certainly be spending hours upon hours reading them.
I went out for a bike ride on Wednesday afternoon. It was the most difficult bike ride I have done all year. First of all, it was my first one in ten days. To make it worse, it was extremely humid and there was a strong wind coming out of the southwest. I could barely walk to class after I was done.
Rush is keeping me busy. We are going to play Whirleyball tonight. It is one of my favorite rush events. For those not familiar, Whirleyball is a combination of bumper cars and basketball. It is a blast.
Anyway, I need to grab some lunch. Until next time.
