What a Weekend
Amazing: that is the word to describe this weekend.
Blackout on Friday night was an incredible party. The sheer amount of people that came up to me during and after the party said it was the best party they have ever been to on campus. What made it so great? A combination of everything, I suppose. We had a foam machine going for almost the whole party. That dance floor was crazy. To complement the foam machine on the deck, Eric, an alum, brought over his stereo equipment to complement ours. We he had a DJ in the kitchen piping music to about 7000 watts of equipment.
Personally, I had mixed feelings about the party. A lot of my friends came, but I could not socialize with them, primarily because I had to guard the foam dance floor for 90 minutes as part of my mandatory work session during the party. On the flip side, I did get to spend a lot of time with Kelsey, a sophomore I met earlier this week. I got to know her a bit better and will hopefully be doing more of the same in the near future.
Kevin and Wayne arrived at the house on Saturday morning for a little vacation from Columbus. We all went out to McNulty's on Saturday for dinner and a few rounds. After that, we met up with Davey and some AXO's at The Barking Spider. To satisfy Kevin's delight at being back in Cleveland, a real city, we went on a midnight donut run to Little Italy. Although I had slept in until 11 yesterday, I was pretty tired when we got back to the house at 1:00, so I grabbed some sleep.
Today is shaping up to be a busy day. After I woke up, Kevin and Wayne insisted on going to the Silver Spartan for brunch. Thankfully, Kevin spotted me, as my wallet was totally empty. I have tons of school work to do today. Tackle that on top of all the little things happening around the house today, such as our first associate member meeting, dinner, and chapter meeting, and I have quite a packed day in stock for me. With that in mind, I think I will start chipping away...
