LGBT's Are Queer

Posted at March 3, 2005 12:12 PM in .

When I entered the student center today, following 10 ft behind me was the president of the university. In the atrium was a table full of free food. After grabbing some (which is the natural reaction of a college student), I sat down, only to read that the occasion was the launch of the university's LGBT web site. I was faced with an ethical dilemma. On one hand, I hate minority groups who flaunt themselves. On the other, there was free food. After deciding that my partaking in the food would potentially deprive others who believe in the cause of their food and that grabbing the food would not subject me to any propaganda, I decided to eat to my heart's content. As much as I want to go to the bookstore, buy a poster board and make a sign that says "LGBT's are Queer," and sit in a prominent location, I am a bit hesitant to do it by myself. I'm afraid all the queers and liberal university officials might not take kindly to my silent protest. Oh well.
