Firefox Geo Extension

Posted at July 7, 2005 10:27 AM in CaseWiki , Firefox , GeoURL , geotagging .

There is an extension available for Firefox that displays a globe in the status bar when you visit a page that is encoded with geographic information. Clicking the globe will take you to GeoURL's list of nearby sites. Right clicking gives you more cool options, including finding flickr photos near-by.

Did I mention that the Case Wiki now automatically pings GeoURL with geographically encoded page information?

Glad you liked my little extension. A should have finished a new version soon which lets users define their own additional sites; also looking at the possibility of somehow sending Geo information to Google Earth.
